Foundation stone of Naval Kindergarten School was laid by Vice Admiral KL Kulkarni PVSM, FOC-in-C Eastern Naval Command on 13 Jan 1974 for NKG Vijay Baugh. The school started functioning from 04 Nov 1974 which was inaugurated by Cmde PC Rajkhowa AVSM Naval Officer-in-charge Andaman & Nicobar Islands. With the growth of A & N Command, a second branch of NKG Port Blair i.e. Minnie bay was established and inaugurated by Vice Admiral Harinder Singh, AVSM, Fortress Command A & N Islands on 12 Mar 1999. NKG, Vijay Baugh will be celebrating its Golden Jubilee in 2024.

The school has grown in strength and facilities over the years. From a humble beginning with barely 35 children in the first academic session at Vijay Baugh. The school now boasts with 280 tiny tots at NKG, Minnie Bay in this session.

The school has three sections each of Balvatika I, Balvatika II and Balvatika III along with Music Room and Activity Room. Smart boards are installed in the Balvatika III classes in this academic session. We have upgraded our CCTV camera, Central Announcement System.
